ITINERARY:

DAY 1: PICK-UP FROM TBILISI AIRPORT – TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

DAY 2: MTSKHETA – CHATEAU MUKHRANI – VILLAGE CHARDAKHI – TBILISI

On this day, you will visit antique city – Mtskheta, which dates back 3000 years and is among UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. Here, you will see attractive Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI century) and ancient Jvari monastery (VI century), from where wonderful view of Mtskheta can be observed. Later, you will visit winery chateau Mukhrani and try tasty wine. You will also visit Iago’s wine cellar in the village Chardakhi, where you will try locally produced bio wine and will introduce to traditional “Qvevri” wine making method. Later, you will have dinner and wine tasting in the cellar. In the evening you will return to Tbilisi and sleep there.

DAY 3: UPLISTSIKHE – GORI – VILLAGE ATENI – TBILISI

On this day, you will explore rock-hewn city Uplistsikhe (literally, “the lord’s fortress), history of which begins I-II millennium B.C. then you will head to Gori, where you can visit prominent Stalin Museum and Ateni Sioni Church (VII century). You will have a dinner and wine tasting at Nikoloz Vacheishvili’s wine cellar, which is located by the river, in a picturesque environment. In the evening you will return to Tbilisi.

DAY 4: ANANURI FORTRESS – STEPANTSMINDA – GERGETI HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

On this day, via old picturesque military road, (which connects Georgia with Russia) you will see riv. Aragvi gorge, Ananuri fortress, beautiful alpine meadows and eternally snow-capped Caucasus peaks. Via Jvari pass you will go along riv. Tergi ravine and will visit Bidara travertine (natural monument), stunning town Stepantsminda and wonderful Gergeti Holy Trinity Church (XIV century), from where breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek (5047 m) and town Stepantsminda can be seen. In the evening you will dine and relax.

DAY 5: STEPANTSMINDA – TBILISI WALKING TOUR

On this day, you will return to Tbilisi and will have walking tour in unique old Tbilisi and wine tasting at Shavnabada monastery. In the evening you will visit famous Tbilisi sulfur baths and then will have dinner at restaurant.

You will also visit Bodbe monastery and city of love – Sighnaghi, with its amazing views of Alazani valley and Caucasus. In the evening you will have wine tasting and dinner at family wine cellar. You will spend the night in Sighnaghi.

DAY 7: KVARELI – TSINANDALI – KISISKHEVI – CUISINE MASTER CLASS

On this day, you will visit wonderful Tsinandali museum (XIX century) and garden that belonged to the Chavchavadze noble family. Later, you will have lunch, cuisine master class and wine tasting at Shumi Winery. You will spend the night at chateau Schuchmann, here you will dine, try tasty wines and relax.

DAY 8: GREMI ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENT – ALAVERDI MONASTERY – TBILISI

You will have wine tasting in the monastery and then you will return to Tbilisi. You will spend the night in Tbilisi.
