Borjomi-Kharagauli national park is located in the central part of Georgia. Its total area is 85 083 hectares, which amounts more than 1% of the whole territory. It is one of the biggest national parks in Europe, which was established in 1995. The park features well-preserved and protected forest habitats, with rare and unique flora and fauna, exceptional and inimitable landscapes.
Diversity of Geographical and ecological zones, rich animal world and a large verity of vegetation provoke great scientific and tourist interest.
The tourist’s route net of Borjomi-Kharagauli national park, gives the opportunity of one day hiking as well as multiple days trekking. Tourist routes are marked and well-organized. Along the routes there are well-managed picnic and camping sites.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1: PICK-UP FROM THE AIRPORT – TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL
DAY 2: BORJOMI – LOMI MOUNTAIN TOURIST SHELTER
After the breakfast, the group will meet the guides and their assistants. Following the inspection of hiking equipments, the group will drive to well-known resort Borjomi. You will go through a registration at the park administration and from Likani watch post you will go along the path to Lomi Mountain tourist shelter. On the way you will a dinner. You will spend the night in the tourist shelter or tent, where you will have a dinner and well deserved rest.

DAY 3: LOMI MOUNTAIN TOURIST SHELTER – SAKHVLARI TOURIST SHELTER
Breakfast (07:00-08:00)
From Lomi mountain tourist shelter, you will go along picturesque panoramic path to Sakhvlari tourist shelter. On the way you will have a dinner. You will overnight in the shelter or tent, where you will have a dinner and much needed relaxation.

DAY 4: SAKHVLARI TOURIST SHELTER – SAMETSKHVAREO TOURIST SHELTER
On this day, the group will go along the path from Sakhvlari tourist shelter to the stunning alpine and sub-alpine meadows, where is located the highest peak of the national park – Sametskhvareo (2642m above the sea level). On the way guests will have a lunch. The overnight will be in the Sametskhvareo shelter or tent. In the evening travelers will have a dinner and much needed rest.

DAY 5: SAMETSKHVAREO TOURIST SHELTER – AMARATI TOURIST SHELTER

On this day, from the guard’s shelter of Sametskhvareo, you will go along the path to Amarati tourist shelter. On the way, you will have a dinner and will overnight in the tent or shelter (3 beds). In the evening you will have a supper and a rest.

DAY 6: AMARATI TOURIST SHELTER – ATSKURI TOURIST SHELTER
Breakfast (08:00-09:00)
On this day, you will go along the path from Amarati tourist shelter to Atskuri shelter. On the way, you will have a dinner and will spend the night in the shelter, where you will have a supper and a well-deserved rest.

DAY 7: UPLISTSIKHE – MTSKHETA – RETURN TO TBILISI
Breakfast (08:00-09:00)
On this day you will return to Tbilisi. On the way, you will visit ancient rock-hewn city Uplistsikhe and former capital city of Georgia – Mtskheta. Historical sites of Mtskheta are in the list of UNESCO world cultural heritage. Here, you will have a dinner and wine tasting as well.
You will overnight in the hotel in Tbilisi, where you will have a dinner and a relaxation.

DAY 8: TBILISI WALKING TOUR – FAREWELL DINNER – TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
Breakfast (09:00-10:00)
After the breakfast you will have amazing Tbilisi walking tour. After the tour you will have a lunch and a walk to the dry bridge, where you can buy antiques, handmade items and souvenirs. In the evening you will have a farewell dinner and you will be accompanied to the airport.
